Josephine P. Mora

Age 90, passed away Monday, May 8, 2017. She was born in Albuquerque, NM on April 13, 1927, to George and Carolina Paiz. Josephine worked for 27 years for Albuquerque Public Schools in food services. She was a quilter with the La Amistad Senior Center. Josephine was an excellent cook and baker. She was an loving Mom and Nana to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Mora; parents; sisters, Terry Quinonez, Rita Zarate, Susie Sawtelle and Dodie Ritchie.

Josephine is survived by four children, Terry Sanchez and husband, John; Mena Aragon and husband, Ron, Gerard Mora and wife, Bonnie, and Josie Crespin and husband, Joe; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren; one sister, Jane Lane of Grantspass, OR; "Special Sisters," Lucy Apodaca, Mary Abeyta and Crusita Mora; and many loving Paiz and Mora nieces, nephews, cousins, and many compadres, hijados and friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 11, 2017, at 6:00 p.m. at Daniels Family Funeral Services, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel with rosary starting at  7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, May12, 2017, 8:30 a.m., at Our Lady of the Annunciation Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Anthony Sanchez, Joshua Aragon, Aaron Aragon, Jeremy Love, Jeff Sadowski and Marc Abeyta.
