Joshua Patrick Aragon

March 19, 1991 — January 2, 2025

Joshua P. Aragon, 33, beloved son, brother and friend passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and friend Justin Bookhardt after a long struggle with substance use disorder. He was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven on Thursday, January 2, 2025.

Joshua was born March 19, 1991 at Pensacola Naval Air Station, Escambia County, Florida and is preceded in death by his beloved grandparents: grandpa Joe Aragon, grandma Inez Hernandez, grandpa Johnny Cash and grandma Linda Robbins.

Joshua is survived by his father Military Veteran Julian Aragon and step-mom Kristy (Eckard) Robbins, mother Dena Wisdom and step-father Mark, brother Geoffrey Hutton, step-sister Danyelle Eckard, step-brother Deo Eckard, grandma Clara (Maestas) Meyer and husband Greg , uncle Eric Aragon and wife Jessica, uncle Joey Aragon and wife Margaret, uncle Steve Martinez and wife Tanya Martinez- Humberto, Hernandez and family, uncle Elfido Martinez Jr., aunt Rosella Aragon, aunt Renee Cisneros, aunt Irene Sadler and husband Marlon, cousins: Stephanie Cavalier and husband Omar, Alicia and fiancé Phillip Ortega, Andrew Pino, Jolene Chacon, Alexis Romero, Nikki Baca, Clarissa Baca, Kaihre Brightwater, Abbey Sadler and many great aunts, uncles and cousins.

Joshua was a kind, generous, and empathetic young man with a big heart who was a gift of life donor in hopes of saving lives through his organ donation. He is our forever hero.

The Aragon and Wisdom family would like to offer a special “Thank You,” to the ICU team Dr. Yassine, Nurse Cindy, Chaplain Wolf, and support staff at Presbyterian Medical Center and Kaley with the Organ Foundation for all their hard work and loving care for Joshua, you have been a blessing.

Burial arrangements have been entrusted to Daniels Funeral Home on Wyoming.

A celebration of life will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 309 Stover Ave SW ABQ on Friday, January 24, 2025 at 11:00am with Deacon Robert Vigil presiding followed by a burial at Sandia Memory Gardens 9500 San Pedro Drive NE at 1pm.

Family and Friends who would like a special memento to be placed with the loved one may do so at time of burial or maybe placed inside available memory box provided by Joshua’s family during services.
