Josie (Sanchez) Parras

PARRAS- Josie (Sanchez) Parras, 81, passed away August 4, 2008. Born to parents, Ben Sanchez and Eloisa (Madrid) Sanchez, on June 8, 1927, Josie remained a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, NM. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed going to the casino. Josie had a very strong faith and was a devout Catholic and member of San Jose Catholic Church. Her greatest joy in life are her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Josie is survived by her daughters, Mary Ann Gutierrez and husband, Manuel, and Natalie Josephine Dolores Parras; sons, Michael Parras and wife, Kathie, and Alfredo Parras, Jr.; son-in-law, Jake Valencia, Sr.; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; sister, Sally Campos. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alfredo Parras, Sr.; daughter, Mary Ann Valencia; and brothers, and sisters. Pallbearers are Jacob Valencia, Jr., Brian Valencia, Michael Parras, Jr., Vicente Gutierrez, Anthony Parras, Alfredo Nathan Parras, and Honorary Pallbearers include Lisa Marie Cano and Monica Renee Parras.
