Josie R Aragon

Aragon , Josie R 92, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Aragon, NM on November 8, 1920 to Donaciano and Luciana (Trujillo) Rael. She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Amado Aragon in 1975; her daughter, Mary Lou Gonzales; her sons, Frank, Ricky, and Lorenzo Aragon; her grandchildren, Amado; Naomi; and Lorenzo Jr.; and her great grandchildren, Samuel; and Mark. Josie was a lifelong resident of Horse Springs, NM. Horse Springs was always home and where she and her husband raised their family. Josie has lived there since 1947. She was a Senior Companion and worked for the Forest Service in Reserve. She also worked for a brief time at the Eagle's Guest Cafe in Datil. She loved to travel and see new places. Josie enjoyed reading her Bible and she was a devoted member of the Horse Springs Bible Church. She was a woman of Strong Faith and she shared that with all of her family. She enjoyed the quiet and simple things in life. She found beauty in everything. Above all, Josie loved and adored her family. She will be greatly missed. Josie is survived by her loving daughters, Luciana Gutierrez; and Margie Mendez and husband, Juan; her devoted son, Donaciano Aragon and wife, Elisa; her grandchildren, Suzanne; Richard; Armando; Josephine; Michael; Elias; Odelia; Andrea; Yolanda; Juan Jr; Amelia; Donaciano Jr; Senobia; Romelia; and Keona; and many other loving family members and close friends. "Granny" also enjoyed her many great grandchildren and her great great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Horse Springs Bible Church with Pastor Robertson officiating.
