Villanueva, Josie (Duran)Villlanueva, Josie (Duran) a life long resident of Old Town Albuquerque was called home by our Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 25, 2012. Josie was preceded in death by her only child, Cecilia Villanueva, her parents, Juan and Cipriana Duran, her three brothers, Tranquilino, Juan and Joe V. Duran; seven sisters, Mary Lopez, Jennie Ruiz, Jessie Zamora, Annie Apodaca, Margaret Munoz, Genevieve (Beva) Ortega and Stella Gonzales. Josie is survived by her husband of 71 years, Fermin Villanueva and many nieces and nephews. Josie will be lovingly remembered as a caring, thoughtful and generous individual. Although we accept and understand that Josie was ready to return home to the Lord and reunite with her daughter, her mother and father and all her siblings, her absence will leave a significant void to those who respected and cared for her until the very end. Sincere thanks to the nieces and nephews who made a special effort to take time to visit and share quality time with their Aunt during her illness. Josie looked forward to these visits and always appreciated the time you spent with her. Josie was a devout and practicing Catholic and was a member of the San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church faith community in Old Town Albuquerque for the entire 92 years of her life. Visitation will be held from 4:00pm to 5:00pm, followed by a rosary at 5:00pm on Sunday, October 28, 2012 at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church, 2005 North Plaza NW, Old Town Albuquerque. Mass of the Resurrection, will be celebrated by Rev. Father Carlos Chavez, Rev. Father Johnny Lee Chavez and Rev. Father Fernando Rubio-Boitel at 10:30am, Monday, October 29, 2012 at the San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ted Ortega, Jr., Louie Chavez, Eloy Zamora, Robert Gonzales, Lawrence Apodaca, Joseph Ortega and honorary pallbearer, Roy Dominguez.
