Juan Andres Garcia, age 68, passed away in his home in Rio Rancho, NM on Sunday, November 8th, 2015 surrounded by his family. “Andy” was born, September 30, 1947 in Socorro, NM. He was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, friend and stranger to no one. Andy was a much beloved member of the Armed Forces and Police Communities and a tremendous influence on anyone fortunate enough to have met him. He led a life of giving, family, adventure, humility, bravery, heroism, courage, honor, strength and love. Andy was never one to shy away from a challenge or a person in need. He invested his life in those around him and became an indelible part of all the lives of the individuals he encountered on his journey. Andy had the innate ability to make you feel that you were the most important person in the world and that nothing else mattered while you were with him. He was a giving and compassionate person who put the needs of others before his own, day or night. He was also a charming story teller with a lifetime of experiences you could live vicariously through. Andy was well known and respected in his community. He possessed a strong faith believing in the power and strength of Jesus Christ. Andy is survived by his wife of 45 years Frances, son Andrew and wife JC, son Daniel and partner Melissa, daughter Jeanne and partner Jason, son Christopher and wife Stacy. Andy was “Pop” to 7 grandchildren: Jacob, Sofia, Edan, Colin, Diego, Aubrey, and Ronan. He leaves countless other friends and family who looked up to and loved him as a father, brother, uncle and friend. Donations will be accepted by the family to be shared with an appropriate charity. Public viewing will be held on Friday November 13, 2015 from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at Daniel’s Family Funeral Services – Sara Road Chapel, 4310 Sara Rd SE, Rio Rancho NM. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM at Calvary Chapel Rio Rancho, 138 Frontage Rd, NE Rio Rancho NM, immediately followed by burial services at Vista Verde Memorial Park, 4310 Sara Rd SE. Psalm 102:27, “But you remain the same, and your years will never end.”
