Juan Manuel Perea

Age 81, passed away Saturday, August 24, 2019. He was born in Santa Fe, NM on April 2, 1938, to Felipe and Conferina Perea.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife Trinadad; father, Felipe Perea and mother, Conferina "Marie" Muniz Perea.

Juan is survived by sons, John Perea Jr., Michael Perea, Joseph (Elise) Perea; daughter, Rosemarie Shannon; grandchildren, Nathaniel (Tracy) Perea, Samantha Perea, Tyler Shannon, Phillip Perea, Adrian Perea; great-grandchildren, Aaron Perea, Jacob Perea and Lucas Miller; brother, Felipe Jr. (Maureen) Perea. He graduated from Las Cruces High School in 1956. He served in the US Army as a E4 in the Signal Corps. He worked for the US Postal Service for 24 years as a level 7 MPE mechanic and was a member of the American Postal Workers Union. Juan loved music and was a guitarist, vocalist specializing in American and Mexican-American popular music from 1955-1968. Played in numerous bands during US Army tour of duty and in Los Angeles, CA. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, John F. Kennedy Council, Albuquerque, NM 4th Degree, Grand Knight, Faithful Navigator, Loyal Order of Moose 1517, Albuquerque, NM, and Church Membership of Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Juan will be greatly missed by his loving family and by those whose lives he touched.
