Age 94, went home peacefully to be with our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 25, 2012. She was born in Albuquerque, NM on June 24, 1917, to Antonio and Zenaida Villanueva-Nunez. She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Reymundo Martinez; son, Ralph Fernandez; Nunez brothers, Salvador, Antonio, Manuel, Jose, Lucio, Ramon, Jose Maria (Chema), Inocencio and one sister Carolina Serda. Juanita is survived by her youngest brother, Pablo Nunez and wife Carmen; sister-in-law, Dolores (Chema) Nunez; friend and caretaker, Bernadette Lopez along with many nieces, nephews, family and friends. A Visitation will take place at Garcia Mortuary in the Chapel of Angels on Sunday, January 29, 2012, from 6:00 pm-7:00 pm followed by a reciting of the Rosary at 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church, 820 Broadway Blvd SE on Monday, January 30, 2012 at 10:00 am. Celebrant Father Joseph Mary Deane. Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 12:45 pm. Casket Bearers are Carlos and Julian Serda, Robert, Danny, Edward, Paul and Albert Nunez and Jesse Lopez.
