Age 72, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2014. She was born in Minneapolis, MN on March 30, 1942, to Gerald E. and Bernice E. Rivet. Judith worked for the Defense Nuclear Agency D.N.A. ( DSWA, DTRA) for thirty years and received many awards including S.P.A's. She loved reading books especially mysteries, researching genealogy, collecting dolls, traveling, arts and crafts and attending art and craft shows. Judith was also an expert seamstress. She was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her father Gerald Rivet, her aunt Eleanor Hostutler and her aunt Dorothy Jore. Judith is survived by her husband, Ralph Hughes of fifty-two years, her daughters; Nadine Alfonso and her husband John, Michelle Luster-Carr and her husband Dennis her grandchildren; Caitlin and Ryleigh Alfonso, Cole Luster, her mother, Bernice Rivet, her sister Darlene Jost and her husband John, her aunt De Loris Moore her niece Jennifer Jost and many cousins. Judith was a devoted wife, Mother, Grandmother and Sister. She was a kind and loving person who will be missed and never forgotten. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at 11:00am at Christ Lutheran Church at 7701 Candelaria NE Albuquerque, NM 87110 with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers donations may be given in Judith's honor to the National Kidney foundation of New Mexico www.causes.com/Livingwithkidneydisease or the Transplant Foundation transplantfoundation.org.
