Julia Chavez

Julia Chavez, age 94, went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 6, 2019.  She was born May 17, 2019 to Benceslalo Gurule and Libralita Martinez Gurule in Golden, New Mexico.  She was a loving stay at home mom and wife, who raised 7 children.  She was a seamstress and she really enjoyed cooking.  She fed her family, including her husband, children, grandchildren, friends and anyone else who came over.  She made sure her family was well taken care of.  She was a very generous gift giver.  She would rather give than to receive.  She loved spending her money on her family.  She was a member of the New Beginnings Church of God.  She loved to help decorate the Church for Harvest, Christmas and any other occasion.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, Benceslalo and Libralita Gurule; husband Patricio G. Chavez, Sr.; granddaughter, Barbara Chavez; daughter-in-law, Priscilla Chavez; and son Patricio Chavez, Jr.

She is survived by her children, Lincoln Chavez, Bences Chavez, Victor Chavez, Libby Chavez, Johnny Chavez, and Ida Trujillo; 15 grandchildren, 20 great-granchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Service will be held 6:00 PM, October 17, 2019 at New Beginnings Church of God, 3601 Montgomery Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109.  Reception will immediately follow service.  She will be interred in Golden, New Mexico.  

Mom, we love and appreciate you with all our hearts.  We pray that you will always see the Face of God.
