Boyd, June LaVon
June Boyd was born on September 24, 1923, in Normal, Illinois. She peacefully was promoted to glory on December 28, 2014 in Albuquerque, NM. June grew up with three sisters and one brother. Her hobbies included raising her children, crocheting, sewing, and raising African Violets. More than anything she loved Bible study. A long-time Salvationist, June served as the Home League secretary at The Salvation Army for many years. She was preceded in death by her two children, Roger Wright and Tamara Avritt, and son-in-law Travis Williams. She is survived by children Lotus Williams, Barbara Lueras and husband Ernest, Kathy Lovell and husband Adrian, and inlaws Regina Wright, and Bill Arvitt. Junes is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grand children, and great-great grandchildren. The family of June would like to thank the hardworking staff at St. Theresa Healthcare and Hospice of the Sandias for their compassionate love and care. They also request that in lieu of flowers, donations be make to The Salvation Army of Albuquerque Citadel at 4301 Bryn Mawr Dr. NE Albuquerque, NM 87107. A funeral service for June Boyd will be held Friday, January 2, 2015 at 1:00pm, at The Salvation Army Albuquerque Citadel officiated by grandson, Captain Bob Lueras. Viewing will be held before the service from 12:00pm to 1:00pm.
