Justine S. Serna

SERNA- Justine S. Serna, age 78, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away Monday, November 9, 2009. Ms. Serna was born on September 16, 1931 in Albuquerque to the late Santiago and Josefita Sanchez. She was our loving mother whose most important job was to raise her five children. She was a housekeeper for many years, then a School Cross Guard on Edith by Mount Carmel Church and Cemetery. She was preceded in death by two sons, Phillip R. and Paul S. Serna; and a sister, Ruth S. Tafoya. Ms. Serna is survived by her loving children, Gerald Serna and wife Genevieve, Barbara Padilla, Richard J. Aragon and wife Mona; ten grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Marjie Serna; her sister, Betty Duran and husband Romeo; brother, Filomeno Sanchez; brother-in-law, Pantaleon Tafoya; sister-in-law, Bobbie Olguin; and other numerous relatives and friends. Ms. Serna will be greatly missed by all. Casket Bearers will be Fred Belone, Phillip Serna, Herman Duran, William Duran, Phillip Fujihara and David Fujihara.
