Renwick, Katherin E. Age 85, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2012. She was born on July 22, 1926 to Clarence Clifford Ernest and Maybell (Sanderson) Ernest of Tucumcari, NM. Mrs. Renwick lived near Cochiti Lake from 1976 until 1996 when she moved to Rio Rancho. During her time at Cochiti, she was a renowned restorer of historic and prehistoric Native American pottery. At one point, she was one of the few persons in the United States restoring this very fragile pottery. She, along with her husband, Richard, were founding and charter members of the Albuquerque Archaeological Society. Mrs. Renwick was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Renwick, in 2009. She is survived by her sons, Cliff Couch and wife, Charyn, of Phoenix, AZ, and Brad Couch and wife, Diana, of Rio Rancho, NM; stepdaughter, Robin Cummings and husband, Tom, of Rio Rancho, NM; grandchildren, Alyson Couch, Erin Stacey, and Mariah Smith; great-grandson, Tristyn Stacey; and several nieces, nephews and many other extended family members. A Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 with Funeral Services following at 2:00 p.m. at Daniels Family Funeral Services - Sara Chapel, 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, NM.
