Katherine Webb Bradford (Babe) was born January 6, 1932, in Gonzales Texas, to Hamilton Webb and Jessie Webb Neals. She married Clyde Bradford on September 18, 1954, and moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico. She joined Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev A.K. Patterson and served under Rev. Troy Young, Rev. Joe Lewis, and Rev. V.L. Bobbs for over 40 years.  Katherine truly enjoyed working with the youth in the church, she taught Sunday School, served on the Missionary Board, and was Coordinator of Mt. Calvary Cowboys Basketball Team, Reverend Marshall Smith as the coach. She was one of the founders of the Busy Bees Charity Club through Mt. Calvary Baptist Church serving the community by providing help for those in need.

In her later years, she assisted in any way to support one of the last black churches in her community Morning Star.

She was the founder of Black Wisdom and Beauty Fashion and Talent Shows as a non-profit organization donating all profits to Bethlehem Baptist Church.  Her house was known as the “Drop-in Center” accepting many people in her home traveling through Albuquerque providing them with shelter and food.  She was always serving others, in addition to providing years of childcare services for teachers at Eugene Field Elementary School (the Johnsons, Greens, Olguins, and Mitchells). She worked 25 years at Presbyterian Hospital as a housekeeper and worked her way up to lead housekeeper, receiving many “Catch Me Awards” for going above and beyond her duties.  After retirement, she reopened her restaurant “Aunt Babes Kitchen”, once again, serving the people in her community.

She enjoyed getting all family members and friends in the neighborhood together after church for Sunday dinners and softball games. Her favorite things to do was cooking, watching westerns, making quilts, listening to gospel music, telling jokes.
