Katherine Rose Rohe

ROHE, Katherine Rose died peacefully, surrounded by her family on June 19, 2011. She was the daughter of Frank and Martha Romeo, born on June 26, 1939, in Massena, NY. She attended Sacred Heart School, Massena High School and graduated from Chatelaine Business School in Montreal, Canada. Katherine moved to Albuquerque, NM in the 1960’s. She married then later divorced Armando Andazola and Jerre Rohe. Katherine worked at the Presbyterian Hospital, was a daycare provider and later a home health care worker. She enjoyed reading, music, dancing and everything New Mexican! She is survived by one daughter; Monica Holliday and three sons; Frank Andazola and Ted Rohe of Albuquerque and Michael Andazola and his wife Teresa of Las Cruces, NM; four grandchildren and one great grandchild; one sister, Fran Romeo and husband Barry Jones of Akron, NY; a dear friend and companion, Frank Gonzales of Albuquerque, NM. Katherine belonged to the Palo Duro Senior Center and Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. She was a wonderful mother and took many other children “under her wing” over the years in Albuquerque. Her heart and home were always open to family and friends. A rosary will be recited on Thursday, June 23, 2011 at 7:00pm at Daniels Family Funeral Service Carlisle Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 24, 2011 at 1:00pm at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 5311 Phoenix Ave., NE. followed by Inurnment at Sunset Memorial Park. Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to a charity of your choice in Katherine’s name.
