Kathy Boudreau

Kathy Joan Boudreau (McCullough) was born on April 8,1950 in Pomona, California to Edith and Tom McCullough and passed away on November 21, 2024 in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. She was a girlfriend, lover, wife, mother and life partner to her husband Steve Boudreau of Rio Rancho (married 49 years) and mother to her son Matthew Boudreau of Rio Rancho.

She grew up in La Verne California and graduated from Bonita High School in 1968 excelling in athletics and varsity cheer. She also attended Mt. San Antonio Junior College in Walnut California. In her youth she lived at the beach for the entire summer (Huntington and Newport Beaches) each year through high school with her family and absolutely loved it. In later years much time was spent exploring Mexico (especially the west coast) and in numerous weekend getaways to Baja California Norte Mexico on the beaches and special haunts with family and friends. Most of her working career was in the record business in southern California for 24 years, in retail, wholesale distribution of domestic and imported music and record labels. In 1996 she retired to raise her son and be with her family. As lifelong Californians, in 2023 the family decided to downsize and fully retire to their new state of New Mexico.

Music played a major part of Kathy’s life as she and her husband Steve (also in the record business) attended hundreds of concerts and club dates throughout the decades, and through their work were able to travel internationally as well. Other major interests included record collecting, jigsaw puzzles, gardening, California and New Mexico native wildflowers, hummingbirds, Monarch butterflies, Formula 1 racing, Los Angeles Lakers & Clippers basketball and Los Angeles Dodgers baseball.

Survived by her husband Steve, son Matthew, sister Gloria Throneberry of Surprise Arizona, brother Tom McCullough of Eads Tennessee, sister and brother-in-law Kristina and John Staley of Dallas Texas, nephews Alex & Max Staley of Dallas Texas and Kevin, Steve & Daren Throneberry of Surprise Arizona, Glendale Arizona and Ontario California respectively.
