Kathy Kay Turrietta Blanco

BLANCO - Kathy Kay (Turrietta) Blanco, 54, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2011at her home in Socorro, New Mexico surrounded by her loving family. Kathy was born on June 18, 1956 in Socorro to Florencio and Ascension Mary (Montoya) Turrietta. Kathy is survived by her loving husband, Jaime Blanco; her devoted son, Joseph Perez and wife, Elizabeth; her grandson, Andres Hernandez; great grandson, Andres Joseph Hernandez; her sisters, Peggy Leyba; June Padilla; Rosemary Armijo; Sylvia Gamez; and Linda Turrietta; her brothers, Joe Turrietta; Anthony Turrietta; and Horacio (Sanna) Turrietta; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving family members. Kathy was a lifelong resident of Socorro. She loved her family and her grandson and great grandson were her pride and joy. Kathy enjoyed cooking, knitting, and loved going to yard sales looking for treasures. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved daughter, Kristie E. Hernandez. Memorial Services will be held Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at 10:00 am with Pastor Gary D. Floyd officiating at the Family Christian Center, 1016 Fowler Street, Socorro, NM 87801.
