Kathyrn J. McDow

Kathryn J. McDow, age 69, of Santa Fe, NM, lost her fight with cancer on May 28, 2014 in her home surrounded by her family. Kathryn is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, James G. McDow of Santa Fe, NM; sons, James E. McDow of Glorita, NM, Eric D. McDow and wife Nancy H.; and grandchildren, Sean McDow and Jessica McDow of Albuquerque, NM; her daughter, Victoria deJong; and grandson Ian deJong of Albuquerque, NM. Also surviving are her brother Lawrence Hill and wife Amy of Brooklyn, NY. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Ruth Chapman of East Alton, Il; and her birth mother, Velma Hill of Huntington Beach, CA. Kathryn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, friend who has touched many people in so many places around the world. She loved to travel, cook, entertain family and friends, camping, and so much more. She had a laugh that was contagious and a smile that would light up any room. Kathryn had a deep love for her family and friends. She will be missed by many. A special Thank You to PMS Hospice, for their wonderful care and compassion during Kathryn�s time in their care. Visitation will be held Friday, June 6, 2014 beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Daniels Family Funeral Services Wyoming Chapel, where Funeral Services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at the Sandia Memory Gardens Cemetery.
