Katrina Rose Raithel

Katrina Rose "Kate" Raithel, 74, passed away on February 2, 2025, in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. She was born on July 27, 1950, in Tacoma, Washington, to Ernest and Mary Raithel. 

Kate pursued higher education at Saint Edward’s University, earning a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree, and also attended San Antonio College, where she obtained an Associate of Arts degree. Throughout her career, she worked at Barnes & Noble Café, Albertsons, and Walgreens. 

Kate had a deep love for dogs and cherished the companionship of Benny, Molly, Lily, Walter, Amy, and Sheldon. She also had a passion for old movies and appreciated the beauty of New Mexican arts. 

She was preceded in death by her sisters Tina Mae Raithel in 2019 and Shirley Ann Raithel-Chandler in 2020. She is survived by her brothers Ernie Raithel of Arizona and Jim Raithel of Connecticut. 

The Grover and the Raithel families extend their heartfelt gratitude to all who knew and loved Kate and appreciate the support during this difficult time. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew her.
