Kenneth "Ken" Richard Hayes

Hayes, Kenneth "Ken" Richard Age 76, passed away Friday, October 25, 2013. He was born in Mount Vernon, IL on October 15, 1937 to James Roth and Addie Bobbie Hayes (Calhoun). He is preceded in death by his son-in-law, James Vaughn. Kenneth is survived by his wife, Joy Hayes; children, Teena Archuleta and husband Steve, Vicki Vaughn, Patricia Phaklides and husband Steve, Lisa Golden and husband Stan, Angela Lee and husband Mike; the mother of four of Ken's daughters, Betty Hayes; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Jim Hayes and wife Jackie of Evansville, IN, Dave Hayes and wife Lucille of Newburgh, IN. Ken served in the United States Coast Guard from 1955 to 1959. He was an ordained minister. His hobbies were computer programming and in his youth it was motorcycles. He loved playing games of all types and going on hikes with his grandchildren. Funeral Services with Military Honors will be held at 11:15 am, Friday, November 1, 2013 at Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 North Guadalupe Street, Santa Fe, NM.
