Today, the tenor who loved singing in his church choir, is now singing with the angels in heaven. Kenneth (Kenny) E. Simpson ran to the arms of his Savior on March 25, 2016. What a joy it is to spend Good Friday with his Savior. He spent many years on this earth singing and leading youth to Christ so his body is just worn out. Kenny proudly served his country as a B29 pilot. After the war, he delivered mail on the downtown route until 1976. He also repaired instruments for his brother-in-law at the Fox Music Company. He later opened his own side business repair shop known as Kenny's Repair Shop where he repaired TV's and small electronics. He is excited to see his wife Patricia Simpson, his daughters Sue Carol Simpson Hoover and Candice Elaine Simpson, who met Jesus before him. Those still waiting on earth are his son, Kenneth (Ken) Simpson of Houston, and daughter, Micki Lawson of Albuquerque, and many beautiful grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. A Visitation will be held Thursday, March 31, 2016 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm followed by a Funeral Service at 2:00 pm at Daniels Family Funeral Services, 2400 Southern Blvd SE, Rio Rancho, NM. Interment will take place Friday, April 1, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Odessa, TX. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the building fund of the City of Vision Baptist Church of Rio Rancho, NM of which he was a member.
