Noyes, Kenneth A. age 73, passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2012. He was a witty, intelligent, compassionate man who will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. He was born in Union, Maine on April 18, 1939 to Evelyn M. (Mank) and Cedric A. Noyes. He was raised on the family blueberry farm as the oldest of five children. After graduating as valedictorian of his high school he joined the Navy where he operated the nuclear power reactor on the USS ENTERPRISE during the Cuban Missile Crises and the Around the World Cruise. While serving he married his wife of 48 years, Gwendolyn Armstrong. After the Navy he earned a Bachelors degree from the University of Nebraska at Kearney, Nebraska. Ken was then employed as an accountant with Central Maine Power Company and then as a purchasing agent for School District 91 in Idaho Falls, ID for over 25 years. He retired to Albuquerque, New Mexico spending his time perusing his passions for history, Biblical studies and helping others through Celebrate Recovery. Kenneth is survived by wife, Gwen Noyes; children Greg R. Noyes, and wife Allyson, Kendra E. Anderson, and husband Bob, Gary W. Noyes, and wife Kathy, Kathleen M. Pierce, and husband Tav; 14 grandchildren, Zach Noyes, Dustin Anderson, Geoff Noyes, Jared Anderson, Tayva Francis, Chris Noyes, Shaun Anderson, Kameron Pierce, Jacob Anderson, T.J. Noyes, Jessica Noyes, Kaitlyn Pierce, Tyler Pierce, Kylee Pierce; and 7 great grandchildren; 2 sisters Vonnie Bean, and Marjorie Nicholas; a brother Ralph Noyes; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents and a brother, Dick Noyes. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 6, 2012, at Faith Evangelical Free Church, 900 Southern Boulevard Southeast Rio Rancho, NM 87124.
