Ken Paulk, 74, passed unexpectedly on July 19th, 2018.  We are all better people by having Ken in our lives.  Ken lived his life demonstrating inner strength, kindness, and thoughtfulness.  Ken was a friend, a confidant, and a mentor to hundreds.  We all smiled when Ken entered a room, knowing were about to hear some sound advice, or a great story about ballooning or riding the rapids, lessons in life.  Ken was a classic liaison with the uncanny ability to relate to people as a teacher and an instructor that surpassed all others because of his unlimited compassion that he exhibited every day in his life.  But Ken’s favorite role was being Elisa Bustamante’s husband and best friend.  For 23 years they exchanged love, respect, dignity, faithfulness, family, fun and adventure.  They were a team in ballooning, traveling the world & both owned the zest for adventure.  Ken recently retired from SED Laboratories/Quest Diagnostics where he worked for 47 years.  Ken leaves behind the love of his life, his wife Elisa; his children Rachel Floryance, Josh Floryance, Rebakah Floryance, and CJ Bustamante; his sister Jeanell Neal; and his grandchildren Dimitri, Jaden, Louis, Matea, Zoi, Potluck & Celebration of Life will be at Sid Cutter Pavilion Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at 6:00pm-8:00pm.
