Van Etten, Kenneth J.

Age 71, passed away Sunday, December 24, 2017. He was born in Madison, WI on March 15, 1946, to Edward Van Etten and Geraldine Milich.

Kenneth graduated from Los Alamos High in 1964, went on to study at New Mexico Tech in Socorro, NM. In 1967 he enlisted in the Air Force where he served 4 years in Spain as a E5 Staff Sergeant. Upon returning, Kenneth met and married the love of his life Linda Cohee. They were married on August 16, 1971 in Socorro, NM. He then returned back to New Mexico Tech to receive his Bachelors of University Studies with a Math Minor in 1976. During his career he worked at White Sands and Honeywell in Albuquerque, NM in Quality Control Management.
Kenneth had an exceptional love for the great outdoors. Camping, hiking and gardening were just a few of his favorites. But his heart was in fishing, that's where you would find him most of the time.

He was preceded in death by both his parents.

Kenneth is survived by daughter, Erin Martin of Albuquerque, NM; son, Richard Van Etten of Rio Rancho, NM; daughter, Kelly and (Cody) Smith of Riverton, UT; brother, Tom Van Etten of Placitas, NM; brother, Don Van Etten, of Las Vegas, NV; sister, Jeanne Holmes of Georgtown, TX; grandchildren, Zach VanEtten, Josh and Jordan Martin, Rylee Link, Liam, Jaxton, Hudson Smith and His beloved registered Yorkie Duke.
A Celebration of life to be held at later date.
