Age 67, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2017. He was born in Rochester, NY on March 25, 1949, to Robert and Terry (Miny) Whitman. He graduated from NYU and The University of Buffalo with an undergraduate degree in civil engineering and UNM with a master's in business. He married Ellen Patricia McGarry on July, 26, 1969. Kent was a pilot and a general contractor. He loved his wife, he loved dogs, loved to cook and enjoyed cheese and beer. Kent is survived by wife of 47 years, Ellen Whitman; daughter, Kelley Schnepple; daughter, Lindsey Van Ness; 2 son-in-law's, Scott Schnepple and Richard Van Ness; 5 grandchildren, Paige, Alyssa, Nick, Jace and Lyra; his father, Robert Whitman; brother, Roch Whitman; 3 pets, Phoebe, Ginger and Violet. A special thank you to the hospice Kaseman team, especially Linda. Service will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2017, 10:00 am, at Daniels Family Funeral Services - Sara Chapel.
