Kimberly Lynn Mico Thompson

THOMPSON-Kimberly Lynn Mico Thompson, 52, passed away, Sunday, February 22, 2010, as a result of a long battle with diabetes. Kimberly was born March 15, 1957, in Columbus, Ohio where she grew up until she moved to Albuquerque in 1980. She met Jeff Thompson in 1983 and the two were married March 15th, 1984. The following year Ian Cole Thompson was born and they began life as a family. Kim always said that Ian was her miracle baby. Ian proved that to be true by donating one of his kidneys to his mother in November of 2009. She was passionate about animals, an avid Ohio State football fan, book enthusiast, and she loved to travel and spend time with family and friends. She is survived by her son Ian Cole Thompson, her husband, Jeff Thompson; her grandmother Ruth Perala, her mother and father Elva and Dick Mico, her sister KayKay Pino (Nate), her brother Mark Mico (Ylva), her sister Lisa Westman (Tim), Donald Hensley (Thelma), her sister Jennifer Hooie (David), and her sister Angela Hensley-Secrest(Tim). Nieces and nephews and many friends. She is preceded in death by grandparents, Marion and Antonio Mico, and Mary and Lawrence Hensley.
