Kristy Hawrey, born on February 24, 1980, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on December 1 2024, in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished daughter warmth and kindness touched the lives of many.
Kristy dedicated five years of her life to caring for her, David Hawrey, exemplifying her commitment to family and love. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her immediate family, as she often found joy in supporting those around her. Kristy was a proud graduate of Cibola High School, where she completed her studies in 1998. She further pursued her education at Central New Mexico Community College, earning a degree in Information Technology in 2012, showcasing her dedication to lifelong learning.
Aside from her professional pursuits, Kristy had a vibrant personality and a zest for life. She delighted in being glamorous and embraced every opportunity to express herself. Her hobbies included homesteading and the gentle pursuit of looking for hummingbirds, passions that brought her immense joy and tranquility.
Kristy is survived by her beloved husband, David Hawrey, and their daughter Talia Goodwin, who is currently four months pregnant and ready to carry on Kristy’s legacy of love and care. She is also survived by her son Chad Goodwin, son-in-law Cody Goodwin, and her parents George and Michelle Goodwin. Kristy’s sisters, Erin Goodwin-Carrasco and Shannon Goodwin, cherish her memory along with the anticipation of welcoming a grandchild into the family.
A visitation will be held on December 10, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Daniels Family Funeral Services, Sara Road Chapel, located at 4310 Sara Rd, Rio Rancho, NM 87124. This gathering will provide an opportunity for family and friends to come together to celebrate Kristy's life and share their memories of a remarkable woman who brought brightness into their lives.
Kristy Hawrey will be remembered not only for her dedication to her family and her passions but also for the sparkle she brought into everyday moments. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
