Kyra Rae Reill

Kyra Rae Reill, 16, passed away on Monday, August 17, 2015. She was born October 5, 1998 to Danielle Reill. A lifelong resident of Albuquerque, she was to enter her junior year at Sandia High School where she was a member of Best Buddies. Kyra was very athletic and had participated in Special Olympics Track and Field where she won Second Place in the Team and Individual 400 meter dash. She also thrived in swimming and weightlifting. Kyra was known for her outgoing personality and would cheerfully greet everyone she met with a hearty "Hi! I'm Kyra!" She was always happy, polite, grateful, and friendly. She was the princess and the angel. As she received her treatments, doctors and nurses called her hospital room "The Happy Room." Kyra was a complete joy to be around. She is survived by her parents, Danielle Haney and Chad Grange; brothers, Michael Reill and Robert Haney; grandparents, Valerie Kohr, Ronald Kohr, Betty and Gary Grange; as well as a lifelong supply of friends and fans.
