79, passed away peacefully and entered Heaven's gates on Monday, August 17, 2015. She was born in San Acacia, NM on May 20, 1936 to Eduplido and Eloisa (Griego) Garcia. Lala was a lifelong resident of Socorro. She retired after 27 years as a secretary with the Socorro Consolidated Schools and was once honored as NM Public Education Secretary of the Year. Lala enjoyed baking and cooking, her biscochitos and tamales were by far the best. She also liked to sew and do crafts. She loved to sit in her backyard and admire all her hummingbirds. She and Jean enjoyed going on cruises together and she was always looking forward to the next adventure. More than anything, Lala loved to be with her family and friends. She was a devout member of the San Miguel Catholic Church and she and Jean served as Marriage Enrichment counselors for 22 years. Her faith sustained her through all her times of joy and laughter, tears and heartbreaks, through her health and sickness. She had an amazing strength and was comforted in knowing she would be going home to meet her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents; her daughter, Josanne; and brother, Johnny.Lala is survived by her devoted husband of 59 years, Jean  Fraissinet; her loving children, John Fraissinet and wife, Susie; Llewellyn Fraissinet; Danielle Haley and husband, Mark; and Jessica Garcia and husband, Frank;brothers, Nayo and wife, Marcella; Eddie and wife, Della; Frankie and wife, Gloria; Speedy; her sisters, Chala and Corrine; Sister-in-law, Ida; and many other loving family members and close friends. Lala will also be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Nicole and Kimberly; Anne; Kevin, Aimee, and Sarah; and Frankie and Josanne. Lala will forever hold a special place in the hearts of her great grandchildren, Chloe and Ian; Bryahna, Audryahna, Kaylene and Josiah; and Audrina, Joshua, and Hailey; and best friends Connie and Nattie Gonzales. Funeral services will be held Saturday August 22 at San Miguel Catholic Church, 403 El Camino Real, Socorro. The Holy Rosary will be recited at 9:30 am. The Mass of Christian Burial and Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:00 am with Father Andrew Pavlak as celebrant. Inurnment will be held in the San Miguel Catholic Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers are all of Lala's loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in Lala's honor to the San Miguel Catholic Church - Building Fund - 403 El Camino Real, Socorro, NM 87801.
