Lance Linhares was born on October 13,1964 in Redondo Beach, CA to parents Al and Barbara Linhares. Lance leaves behind two children, Savanna and Connor Linhares, brother Kevin Linhares, stepmother Carrie Linhares and Sandy Abeyta and the Abeyta family.
Lance and his brother Kevin moved with his parents to Arlington, VA where he spent most of his childhood. Lance played sports growing up including baseball, football and basketball.
Lance started his career as an EMT/Firefighter and worked in Orlando, FL. Lance moved to Albuquerque and worked for Budget Car Rental, Xfinity and at Calibers as a Firearms Instructor. He was currently working for the State of NM in Workman’s Compensation and as an Armed Security Officer for Blackthorn.
Lance was the proud father of Savanna and Connor. Lance loved his family and was always a great protector. Lance loved the outdoors and especially hunting, shooting and watching the Redskins play on Sundays. Most recently, you could find Lance riding dirt bikes on the weekends with Connor. Lance also loved working on cars and was very proud of his restored 1986 J20 Jeep Truck.
Lance was a loyal and compassionate father and friend, he loved to take care of the people he cared about in his life. There wasn’t a favor too big for Lance and those that knew him often relied on him for help.
Lance will be missed greatly by all that knew him. He lived a full life. We know that he is now resting with our Lord Jesus Christ.
