At the young handsome age of 80, on the beautiful morning of Sunday, September 7, 2014, the large heart of Larry Larson took its last beat while surrounded by the love of his family. He was born in Kansas City, MO on April 12, 1934, to Elmer and Ella (Rush) Larson and has been a resident of Rio Rancho, NM for the past 35 years. Larry proudly served his country as a Veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, then later worked at Sandia National Labs and retired as a Real Estate Broker for Amrep. As an active member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, he was always willing to give a helping hand and proudly served as Lector. Larry could brighten up any room with his smile, laughter, love and generous heart.



Larry is survived by his wife, Carol Ann Larson of Rio Rancho, NM; son, Mark Larson and wife, Carla of Aurora, IL, and their children, (Gabriel Larson, Meredith Larson-Runge and husband Ryan, and their children, Lucy and Josie Runge); son, Gregory Larson and wife Karla of Big Spring, TX, and their children, (Shayna Larson, Aaron Larson, Russell Vaughn and his daughter, Serenity Vaughn, Jonathan Vaughn and his two children, J.J. and Rebecca Vaughn, Jennifer Parmele, and Brianna Parmele); son, Michael Larson and wife Dorothy of Boston, MA; daughter, Diahann Larson of Santa Fe, NM; and brother, Daniel Larson of Overland Park, KS.  His joyful life will continue through the memories and hearts of the many members of his extended family and friends. The



Rosary will be recited  at 7:00 pm, Thursday, September 11, 2014 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, NM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am, Friday, September 12, 2014, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, NM.
