Age 95, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2017 in Socorro, NM. She was born in Trail Creek, MO on August 30, 1921, to Arthur and Rosa Snelling Shepard. Laurice grew up and graduated from school in Ridgeway, MO. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi in Missouri. She was always willing to help anyone who needed help and did during the many years they owned and operated DeHart's Towing Service. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 53 years, Hubert I. DeHart; brother, Leslie Shepard and sister, Velma Blakesly; and brother, Francis Shepard. Laurice is survived by sons, Michael DeHart and wife, Susan and Donald DeHart and wife, Charlotte; grandchildren, Michael I. DeHart and companion, Anastasia Lewark and Jennifer Rodriguez and husband, Mark; great grandchildren, Joshua and Averie Rodriguez, and Michael E. DeHart II; sisters, Veda Pierce and Marylou Justice. As per Laurice's wishes, cremation will take place and she will be taken back to Missouri for inurnment. In lieu of flowers donations may be given in Laurice's honor to the Good Samaritan Society, PO Box 1279, Socorro, NM 87801.
