Laurie A. Rosenberg

ROSENBERG - Laurie A. Rosenberg passed away suddenly February 23, 2011. She was born in Batavia, NY April 21, 1960. Shortly after graduating high school she met her husband, Gregg, and they were married in 1981. During Gregg’s Navy career she lived in Key West and Jacksonville, FL; Memphis, TN, and Virginia Beach, VA. Upon his retirement from the Navy they moved to Rio Rancho in 1997. Laurie was an involved mother with her children, Scott and Tracy, especially camping and her pets. Laurie had many friends mainly from the Thimbleweeds Quilting Club. She is survived by her husband Gregg Rosenberg; son Scott Rosenberg; daughter Tracy Rosenberg and boyfriend Chris Spiak; parents Lawrence and Elizabeth Watkins; brother Jeffery Watkins of Fort Walton Beach, FL; sister Penny Watkins of Rochester, NY; four nieces, and three nephews. Visitation will be held Monday, February 28, 2011 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Daniels Family Funeral Services, 2400 Southern Blvd SE, Rio Rancho, NM with a service to follow at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Watermelon Mountain Ranch, 1512 Deborah Rd SE #203, Rio Rancho, NM 87124 or Animal Humane Association of New Mexico, 615 Virginia St SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108.
