Lawrence J Belanger

Lawrence J Belanger, 69 years old of Las Cruces, New Mexico

He passed away December 21, 2020 at Lovelace Hospital.

Lawrence was born September 12, 1951 in Las Cruces, New Mexico. He served in the US Navy and did two tours in Vietnam in 1969 and 1970. He had received various medals including National Defense Service metal, Combat Action Ribbon Vietnam Service metal, Meritorious Unit Commendation Vietnam Campaign metal and Armed Forces Expeditionary medal (Korea). He was honorably discharged in 1973.

Lawrence also worked for Mountain Bell for 20 years and returned to school and got his degree at NMSU for computer science, and later worked at Intel for 4 years, becoming disabled and retiring. He was a member of New Beginnings Church of God.

Lawrence is survived by his wife of 49 years, Yvonne Belanger of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Four sons, Lawrence Belanger III and his wife Regina of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Daniel Belanger and his wife Delores of Phoenix, Arizona, Horacio Belanger and his wife Ariana of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Isaac Belanger and his wife Erica of Odessa, Texas; One Daughter Michelle Solis of Las Cruces, New Mexico. Two brothers Carlos Belanger of San Diego, California, and John Belanger and his wife Juana of Las Cruces, New Mexico;

Lawrence is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 7 step-grandchildren, 3 grandchildren who are no longer with us, 11 great grandchildren and 2 future great grandchildren.

Services for his celebration of life will be held at New Beginnings Church of God at 4770 Montgomery Blvd NE, Albuquerque, New Mexico 89109 on December 28, 2020 at 11am. Celebration will be hosted by Pastor Richard Mansfield with full military Honors.
