Leatha Rose Jenkins

JENKINS- Leatha Rose Jenkins, 77, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, NM was called home to our Heavenly Father on April 12, 2011. Mrs. Jenkins was born on December 7, 1933 to Richard and Vonceil (Garrett) Wimbley of Galesburg, IL. She moved to Albuquerque in 1963 where she was an active member of her community. She worked as a caseworker for the state of New Mexico for over 30 years. She is preceded in death by her father, mother and one sister, June Patrick. She is survived by her children, Ernest Jenkins and his wife, Sandra, of Maryland, Richard Jenkins of Albuquerque, NM; grandchildren, Ernest Jenkins, Jr., and his wife, Genice, Jason Jenkins and Damion Jenkins, all of Maryland, Joshua Jenkins of California, and Richard Jenkins II of Albuquerque, NM; and seven great-grandchildren. The Viewing and Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM with the Funeral Service beginning at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 15, 2011 at Macedonia Baptist Church at 1509 Edith SE, Albuquerque, NM with Rev. N.D. Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Park. Mrs. Jenkins’ care has been entrusted to: Daniels Family Funeral Services
