Lena Franco

Franco, Lena Marie 89, a resident of Rio Rancho for the last 32 years, passed away on January 2, 2013. Lena is survived by her three children; Bruce Franco, Jr., Richard Franco and Patricia Barker; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and brother, Vincent Dolce. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Bruce Franco, Sr. in 2006. Lena had a long career as a purchasing agent first with Combe Inc. Pharmaceutical in White Plains, NY for 27 years. She then moved with her family to Rio Rancho in 1978 and spent 12 years in the same position with the City of Rio Rancho. Lena enjoyed many different activities including reading, going to the gym and cooking amazing meals for her family and friends. She also assisted and nursed several good friends before they passed away and would go to the nursing home to help feed them and take them for leisurely walks. Mass of Christian Burial for Lena will be Monday, January 7, 2013, 10:30 am at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 1502 Sara Rd. SE, Rio Rancho.
