Lena Andee"" James

LENA "ANDEE" JAMES, 58, of Chinle, AZ passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at Flagstaff Memorial Medical Center in Flagstaff, AZ. She was born for T'otsoni, and Honashanii, Dzil Tl'ahnii, and Todik'ozhi clans in Ft. Defiance, AZ on June 28, 1950. Lena was an elementary teacher for many years at Mesa Elementary School in Shiprock. Lena enjoyed making jewelry. She loved working with children and was particularly compassionate for elderly people. Lena was a very generous person and always very helpful to others in need. Her motto was "the more you give, the more you get back." Lena will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. She is survived by her mother Addie W. Begay of Chinle, AZ; two brothers, Leonard L. Brown and wife Toni and Larson L. Begay, sister Leila L. Brown all of Chinle. Lena was preceded in death by her grandparents Reed Winney, Sr. and Mary I. Winney; aunts, Rose W. Yazzie and Irene W. James; uncle and adoptive father, Frank L. James and uncle Dale Winney, Sr. Pallbearers are Lamont Brown, Derrick Begay, Kasey Badoni, Jerry Mitchell, Reed Winney, Jr., and Lance Johnson. Honorary pallbearers are Leonard Brown, Larson Begay, Lelano L. Brown, Glo Jean Todacheenie, Edith Manuelito and Fannie Atcitty.
