Age 65, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2017. He was born in Socorro, NM on August 10, 1951 to Cruzito and Josephina Zamora Apodaca. At the age of 11, his family moved to Albuquerque, NM. After attending school at Rio Grande High School in Albuquerque, Lonnie moved back to his hometown of Socorro. He was employed with A & P Construction as a maintenance mechanic. Lonnie was a devoted family man. He was always there for his family and would take care of anyone who needed him. He also loved to hunt and fish. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Nancy Loar, Sarah Juancho and Alice Apodaca. Lonnie is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 46 years, Rita Apodaca; children, Mary (Chris) Sessions and Lonnie Apodaca, Jr.; grandchildren, Dominic Apodaca and Isiah Apodaca; brothers, Bennie (Jeanette) Apodaca, Tudy (Louise) Apodaca and Albert Apodaca; and sisters, Angela Apodaca and Delia (John) Smith.
