Leroy Phil Murray March 19, 1920 - June 12, 2009 Leroy Phil Murray, 89, passed from this wonderful life to the arms of his Lord and Savior on Friday, June 12, 2009. He was born March 19, 1920, at Billings, Oklahoma, son of Phil and Elizabeth "Lizzie" (Jones) Murray. Leroy was preceded in death by the love of his life, Alice, of 68 years, and son-in-law, Henry Lewis. Leroy is survived by his children: Rosa Lee Lewis, Roberta Murray (Steve), Linda (Bill) Albert and Roger (Sammie) Murray, brother-in-law, Clyde "Bud" (Gail) Foster, and grandchildren: Janet (Jim) Marquis of Farmington, Daniel Murray of Farmington, Robert (Michelle) Lewis, Nancy (AJ) Horner, and David (Tacey) Murray of Bloomfield, Terry (Joyce)Lewis of Aztec, Adam (Jill)Albert and Patrick Albert of Michigan, and Richard Albert of Texas, Shelly (Vince) Smedley of Oklahoma and Michael (Lynette) Slaybaugh of Arkansas. 19 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. He is also survived by nieces and nephews. Leroy worked as a welder, diesel mechanic and millwright. He also owned and operated Murray's Welding. He loved fishing, camping, hunting, tinkering, and above all else spending time with his grandchildren. Leroy's grandsons will be pall bearers.
