Age 10, beloved son and brother, tragically passed away, Monday, July 11, 2016. He was a resident of Rio Rancho and recently completed the fourth grade at Enchanted Hills Elementary School. Levi enjoyed playing with his two best friends, Alexavier Lucero and Haydon Cobb, who he had known for most of his life. Some of Levi’s hobbies and interests were playing video games, collecting miniature figures, building Legos, swimming, hiking, climbing, camping, chicken farming, gardening and hunting. Levi and his family are proud that he was part of the Masonic family through bagpipe lessons with the Ballut Abyad Shrine Pipes and Drums. Levi was preceded in death by his grandmother, Nancy Gish. Levi is survived by his mother, Amy Vermilion-Stoker and husband Ian; his father, Jeff Vermilion and wife Janelle; brothers, Dean and Gavin; sister, Lena; stepsister, Mattison; grandparents, Robert Gish and Eva, Mike and Ruth Vermilion; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, including his cousin Justin who lived with him. Levi will be greatly missed by his loving family, friends and by those whose lives he touched. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Diamond Children’s Medical Center and the Ronald McDonald House, both of Tucson, Arizona, for the care they provided for Levi and his family during their time of mourning. Levi was able to give the gift of life to others thanks to the Donor Network of Arizona.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at 10:00am at Enchanted Hills Elementary School soccer field at 5400 Obregon Rd NE Rio Rancho, NM 87144. The family has requested in lieu of flowers bring a new pair of boys or girls shoes to be donated to the Kids Clothes Closet at the Storehouse West www.storehousewest.org.
