Lilia C. Sainz, 87, Rio Rancho, (formerly Tularosa) NM, passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2015.  Mrs. Sainz was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years Albert M. Sainz. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother is survived by her brother Frank Chavez, her sister Lucy Gonzales and children, Mrs. Bertha Dominguez, Veronica Sainz, Diana Sainz, Ann Childress, Carol Lavadie, David Sainz, Sylvia Sainz Longchamps, Janet Lucinda (Cindy) Josselyn and Ben Sainz, 10 grandchildren and, 9 great grandchildren. Mrs. Sainz was known for her generous and giving nature.  She volunteered and participated in many key St. Francis de Paula and Santo Nino de Atocha Church renovations, fundraisers and events. For many years she served as an active member of the St. Francis de Paula Church Choir. She was dedicated to making a warm and welcoming home for her family  and the community as a whole. Among her numerous talents and gifts were expert tailoring and mastery of New Mexico style cooking. She will be greatly missed by all. A Rosary will be recited 10 a.m. Friday, October 16, 2015, at St. Francis de Paula Catholic Church in Tularosa, New Mexico with Mass of the Resurrection to be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow at the St. Francis de Paula Cemetery in Tularosa. Pallbearers are Adrian Sainz, Nathan Sainz, Matthies Sainz, Jose Lavadie, Thomas Eric Dominguez and Jonathan Sainz. Honorary pallbearers are Greg Jossleyn, David Sainz, Mike Sainz, Randy Dominguez, Andy Sainz, Roberto Lavadie and Eric Dominguez. Floral arrangements may be delivered to the church in Tularosa. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Santo Nino de Atocha Mission Church in Three Rivers, NM via St. Francis de Paula Catholic Church, 303 Encino Street, Tularosa, NM 88352.
