Lillie Lee Valdez

Feb. 22, 2011, in Farmington. She was born April 3, 1949, in Farmington, to Tom and Alice Lee. She was Tachii nii, born for Naakaii Dineé. Her maternal grandmother was Tabaahá; her paternal grandfather was Tneeszahnii. Lillie attended Apache Elementary and Tibbetts Junior High Schools. She graduated from Wingate High School. She was employed at Brookside Lighting in Farmington. Her hobbies included sewing and watching "Little House on the Prairie." She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Woody W. Lee, Jackie Lee, Dickie Lee and Frankie Lee; sisters Verda Lee and Jessie Rose Smith; and grandparents, Nellie Peter and Dick Peter. Lillie is survived by her husband, Tommy G. Valdez, son, Fabian Valdez; sisters, Sara Johnson, Darlene Lee, Linda Lee and Pauline Pasata; and three grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25, at Brewer, Lee & Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E. Ute St. in Farmington. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, at Ojo Amarillo United Methodist Church in Shiprock, with Mike Lee officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Garden Cemetery in Upper Fruitland. Pallbearers are Vernon Blackie, Raymond Blackie, Lewis Blackie, William Jr. Lee, Lydell Harrison, Corey Blackie and Willard Lee.
