Lily/Kai Gomez

William Kai Gomez was born August 30th, 1996. The world knew him as Kai, he identified as Lily. Lily/Kai was born in Albuquerque, raised in Tijeras and was a lifelong resident of New Mexico. Lily/Kai was kind, generous, sweet, funny and exceptionally gifted. Often described as the smartest person you will ever meet, his gentle soul never made anybody feel that way. He was creative and artistic beyond his years. Kai was an avid reader and an extraordinary writer. A lifelong fascination with space and alternate universes made for the backdrop of some of Lily/Kai's most brilliant written and artistic creations.

Lily/Kai had a small but close circle of family and friends. An excellent marksman he was, he could out shoot the best us. He loved playing video games with his cousin Lukas, sharing his ideas and stories with his life-long friend Josef and doing just about anything with his favorite person in the world...his nephew Coupe.

Lily/Kai will be greatly missed every day by his mom Shawn, his dad Bill, his older sister Hali, his brother-in-law Sklyer, his half-sister Samantha and by anybody else who was privileged enough to be touched by Lily/Kai. To know Lily/Kai was to love him.

Kai/Lily you will forever be loved more than we can express. We will miss you and think of you every single day. You are free now.
