KJELDGAARD, LINDA LANE Linda Lane Kjeldgaard passed away on August 22, 2014. Linda was born in Chicago on August 31, 1940, and grew up in Colorado Springs, CO, where she went to St. Mary�s High School. She got her BA in English (1962) at Marymount College, Tarrytown, NY, following which she taught in Paris for a year. She then got a MA in English (1964) at the University of Colorado, Boulder, CO, where she met her future husband, PhD Chemist, Ed Kjeldgaard. They moved to Albuquerque in 1966, and in 2002 she retired from UNM where she had been an editor for 25 years. They have two children and four grandchildren, all residing in Albuquerque. Linda and Ed led active lives, enjoying about 25 years of skiing and tennis, and 15 years of bicycle riding, including 10 tours in Europe and the Canadian Rockies. Linda also had a life-long passion for the theatre. They went to over 1,000 plays in 40 years, spent 11 summers in London focusing on the London Theatre Scene (2002-2013), and she was a member of the Board of Directors of the Vortex Theatre in Albuquerque for 8 years (2006-2014). A celebration of Linda�s life will be held at the Vortex Theatre on Sunday, September 7, at 5 pm.
