Lisa Ann Cordova

Lisa Ann Cordova, entered into eternal rest June 6, 2016. Lisa was born in Albuquerque on March 19, 1961.

She is survived by her loving and dedicated parents Vince and Mary Cordova, her siblings Ron, Loretta, Lorraine and Randy, brother in laws Roberto and Russ, sister in laws Erica and Inge, nieces Rosalinda, Maria, Victoria, Angelica and Emma, nephews Nicholas, Christopher and Roberto, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents ME and Frances Sanchez, HB and Cipry Cordova and her godparents JD and Carmel Griego.

Lisa graduated from Manzano high school where she was a pioneer of some of the first students who were mainstreamed in public education.  She dedicated 30 years of volunteer service at Kaseman Presbyterian Hospital.  She participated and traveled extensively in local, state and International Special Olympics, where she won numerous medals and awards. Lisa was an avid Lobo, Dallas Cowboy and Boston Celtics fan. She was the official scoreboard keeper for the Albuquerque Academy basketball team for many years.

Lisa was a member of the Spanish choir at St. Bernadette and Risen Savior Catholic Church, where she took great pride in playing her guitar and was dedicated to her faith. She was extremely outgoing and befriended anyone she met. Lisa will be remembered for her infectious laugh and beautiful smile that will live in our hearts forever.

The family would like to thank Hospice de la Luz, Dr. Ricardo Ortega, her dedicated caretakers Kim, Sophia and Wendy and her primary nurse Leigh as well as Bill and JJ from Su Vida and Cheryl her care manager. Also  the staff at MOXEY and Adelante. We thank her nieces and nephews who helped care for her and especially her nephew Christopher who dedicated his loving care and compassion each morning and night, during the past two years.

Rosary will be held Friday, June 10, 2016 at 7:00 PM at Risen Savior Catholic Church, 7701 Wyoming Blvd NE. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 9:00 AM, at Risen Savior Church with Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Reception to follow at the church hall.
