Llewellyn A. Braden

Braden, Llewellyn A. Llewellyn (Lew) Alan Braden, age 91, passed away July 18, 2014, in Albuquerque NM. He was born December 28, 1922 in Garwood Texas, to Louis Edward and Marietta Braden. He is survived by two daughters, Margaret Ann Graves of NM, and Kathleen Frances McGee of CO; two grandchildren, Jennifer Ann Graves of TX, and Samuel Lee Graves Jr. of CO; and a brother, John Louis Braden, of AR. He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Mary Frances Braden. Lew was a veteran of the European Campaign of World War II. He was employed by Hughes Tool Company in Houston TX, retiring after 44 � years of service as foreman of the Engineering Department Machine Shop Laboratory where he supervised development of Hughes Rock Bits for oil well drilling. A Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 22, 2014 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Cypress Fairbanks Funeral Home, 9926 Jones Rd., Houston TX. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at 10:00 am at St Cuthbert�s Episcopal Church, 17020 West Rd, Houston TX; Interment to follow at Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale St., Houston, TX.
