Lois Rae LeeseMarch 9, 1919 - September 12, 2008 Our Beloved Mother. She was most generous and gracious, a wonderful mother and grandmother, and loved by many. She will be greatly missed. She was very active in volunteer areas, an avid bridge player and up until her recent illness was still playing in three bridge clubs. She was a very active member of the First United Methodist Church of Farmington, and her church friends were an important part of her life. She was born March 9, 1919, in Tucumcari, New Mexico, to Walter and Mittie Coplen. She attended Albuquerque High School and UNM where she met her late husband. She moved first to Farmington in 1953, then permanently in 1956, where she resided in the same home since that time. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Percy Leese, of 52 years in 1991; and infant son at birth; and brother, Frank Coplen, of Belen, NM. She is survived by her sons, James Leese and partner Lt. Col. (ret) Michele Turns of Fort Myers, FL, Robert Leese and wife Jane of Pasadena, CA, and Mark Leese and wife Joanz of Denver, CO; daughter, Kathy Kellenaers and husband Steve of Farmington; sister, Elsie Cook and husband Lt. Col. (ret) Carl Cook of Albuquerque, NM; grandchildren, Jeffrey Leese and wife Stacy of Denver, CO, Tamara Morgan and husband Roy of Albuquerque, NM, Ann and Joe Leese of Pasadena, CA, Michelle Cao and husband Tom of McKinney, TX, and D.C. Turner and fianc�?©e Jennifer Caddell of Farmington; and great grandchildren, Benjamin Morgan of Albuquerque, and Vinh Cao of McKinney, TX. Many, many thanks to neighbor Lee Miller for his constant vigilance; to John and Gayle Dean and Joslyn Green of Denver, for their love over many years. Special thanks to Dr. James Spence, Dr. Robert Sprung, the nursing staff on the Cardiac Floor of San Juan Regional Medical Center, Dr. Craig Curry, and to her many friends whose love and prayers we have felt throughout this time of loss.
