Lora Jean Evans Lynch, longtime resident of Albuquerque/Corrales, Elephant Butte and most recently Santa Teresa, New Mexico passed away on November 19, 2019.
Lora Jean was born February 27, 1924 in Pueblo, Colorado, the first child of Dorothy Bean Evans and Roy Evans. She has two brothers, Roy Clyde Evans (preceded her in death) and Robert Evans of Albuquerque. Lora Jean was a graduate of Florence, Colorado High School. On January 19, 1942, she married Forrest Dale Lynch (preceding her in death) and resided in Colorado from 1942 – 1946. From 1946 – 1958, the Lynches were residents of Wichita, Kansas before moving to New Mexico in 1958.
Lora Jean was an accomplished musician, Realtor (owning her own real estate business in Albuquerque for over 30 years), a world traveler, and active in several professional and service organizations. She was inducted into the Omega Tau Rho NM Board of Realtors Honor Fraternity, was past-president of NM Real Estate Women’s Council, past-president of the Albuquerque chapter of Zonta International, a member of Eastern Star and chapter musician, a Girl and Boy Scout leader, church organist/pianist/choir director, PTA President, and volunteer musician for senior centers and nursing homes. She loved music, to travel, to serve the community, and above all her family and God.
Lora Jean leaves behind an incredible legacy of her life as a role model for her family and friends. Predeceasing her were her son, Forrest Dale Lynch, Jr., her grandson, Jeffrey Scott Lynch, her granddaughter, Cristy Michelle Lynch, her daughter-in-law, Norma Lynch, and her sister-in-law, Helen Evans. She is survived by her daughter, Vicki Ann Little and son-in-law, William Little; her daughter, Dorothy Arline Mullins; her daughter, Ruby Lynch-Arroyo and son-in-law, Vincent F. Arroyo III. Additional surviving members include her grandchildren, Lora Little Allpass and Brad Allpass, her husband, Shannon Ray Mullins, and Missy Mullins, his wife, William Chad Little, and Vicente F. Arroyo IV, seven great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held, Monday, November 25, 2019, at 10:00 am at Daniels Funeral Home, 4310 Sara Road, Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Her sister-in-law, Linda Evans, will be providing spiritual and comforting words for Lora Jean. Internment will follow immediately at Vista Verde Memorial Park, Rio Rancho, where she will join her beloved husband, Forrest.
