Lorenzo O. Romero

ROMERO, LORENZO O. went home to be with his God and Savior on February 23, 2013. His passing was caused by an unexpected stroke following hip surgery and his family is greatly heartbroken. He was admired and loved by all who knew him and he will be sorely missed. Lorenzo was born on August 31, 1938 to Orcelia and Rosendo Romero in Cleveland, New Mexico where he was raised by Jose A. and Isabel Romero. He lived in Cleveland until serving his country in the Marine Corps and moving to California where he met his wife Jane Sanchez. The family moved back to New Mexico where he raised his seven children. He and his wife Jane retired to Cleveland, New Mexico; the mountains that he loved. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jane; seven children; 28 grandchildren; and his six great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother and father who raised him and one grandchild. Services will be on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at 10:30am at Calvary of Albuquerque located at 4001 Osuna Rd. NE in Albuquerque. Interment following at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Santa Fe promptly at 3:00pm. Lorenzo was a man of great faith, integrity and character. His goal in life was to glorify his God. Well done, faithful servant.
