Lorenzo M Vigil

Vigil, Lorenzo M. 91, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at his home in Socorro. He was born in Lemitar, NM on August 5, 1921, to Perfecto and Elicia (Ulibarri) Vigil. Lorenzo grew up in Lemitar and graduated from Socorro High School. He was a truck driver and worked for Serna Trucking for over 25 yrs before retiring. Lorenzo enjoyed fishing and hunting and he loved to dance. He was a bit of a jokester and he was full of life. He enjoyed woodworking in his later years. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 13 years, Felicita (Sais) Vigil; his second wife of 43 years, Angelica (Saavedra) Vigil; his parents; and his sisters, Rose Baca and Sally Armijo. Lorenzo is survived by his loving daughter, Natti Gonzales and husband, Connie; his sister, Margie Herrrera; his grandchildren, Joseph Gonzales and his wife, Jenny, and Felicia Gonzales; and his great grandchildren, Devon and Joshua Gonzales. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Daniels Family Funeral Services-Socorro Chapel, 309 Garfield, Socorro from 12:00 pm to 5:30 pm. The Holy Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 7:00 pm at San Miguel Catholic Church, 403 El Camino Real, Socorro. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at 9:00 am at San Miguel with Father Andrew Pavlak as Celebrant. Burial will take place at the San Miguel Catholic Cemetery following the service. Pallbearers will be Joseph Gonzales, Joshua Gonzales, Devon Gonzales, Rudy Salazar, Tommy Torres, and Jerry Chavez. Honorary pallbearers are Gerald Herrera, Jean Fraissinet, Ambrosio Gonzales, Sam Sais Jr., Ernest Gonzales, Juan Gonzales, Tommy Gonzales, Raymond Gonzales, and Floyd Gonzales.
